Westfield World Trade Center is already home to more than 15 small and Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs)/Local Business Enterprise (LBE) businesses and that number continues to grow as URW Airports expands its Small Business Accelerator program.
The program was recently showcased at the Downtown Alliance’s Small Business Reception at the World Trade Center. The first of its kind event included a market update, panel discussion, and networking opportunities for more than 50 small business owners from across Lower Manhattan.
Guests also had opportunity to learn about small business leasing opportunities and hear the success stories of small businesses who have opened and scaled thriving businesses at the World Trade Center, across a range of product categories from fashion to beauty to technology.
The Small Business Accelerator program offers viable leasing opportunities that enable small and emerging businesses to open their first storefront through providing flexible term leases, lower occupancy costs, tailored permitting assistance, and once open, access to Westfield’s integrated marketing and events program.
Businesses benefit from exposure to millions of monthly visitors including downtown residents, tourists, and commuters, with a high-profile storefront alongside leading international brands, all within one of New York City’s most iconic destinations.
The program is part of URW Airports' Advance Network, which creates and supports growth opportunities for local and diverse participation in the airports and transit sectors, from leasing to contracting, and more.
Small businesses interested in future business, partnership, education or networking opportunities should sign up for our Supplier Diversity Network to stay up-to-date about news, events, upcoming opportunities and more.
