Dr. Lord-Marcelle, a Jamaica resident and passionate advocate for holistic health and longevity, has brought her Mother Earth Juice Bar products to John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 8. Her kiosk offers travelers and employees a unique opportunity to experience wellness therapies, preventative medicine and plant remedies for all ailments.
Dr. Lord-Marcelle earned her Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Trinity School of Natural Health and became board-certified by the American Medical Naturopathic Certification Board. She is an expert in iridology, traditional medicine, plants, herbs, minerals and food as medicine. Dr Lord has embraced naturopathy as a way to empower others to live healthier, longer lives and to eradicate health disparities in people of color.
As a pastor, she noticed people turning to her for prayer for their illnesses. Inspired by their trust, she and her husband opened Mother Earth Juice Bar in Kew Gardens in 2017, combining her knowledge of preventative medicine with her mission to improve health through natural remedies. After relocating the store to South Jamaica in 2022, she introduced her products at the JFK Holiday Market, where they were met with enthusiasm from airport employees and travelers.
“Opening up my business in the airport is a tremendous opportunity for me as an African American woman from the Caribbean,” Lord-Marcelle said. “To be able to have a presence in T8 is an exciting milestone for my business, especially as a community leader who is dedicated to helping minorities get certified to operate in airports and also be in optimum health.”
Dr. Lord-Marcelle’s kiosk features her most popular products, including “Dr Lord’s Power Shot” and “Energy Elixir”, herbal tonics, teas, her books, Beyond Organic and her latest book, Cheat Death and Live! as well as health supplements. With travelers in mind, she also plans to expand into a travel-friendly line of products like scented eye masks, travel pillows, and wellness kits.
Her work extends beyond business. As a founder of the Southeast Queens Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Council for Airport Development, Dr. Lord-Marcelle is committed to helping community members succeed.
