Maral Matossian, URW Vice President, Los Angeles International Airport, has been named to the prestigious Airport Business Top 40 under 40. The awards recognize up-and-coming leaders in the industry.
With nearly 20 years in retail and hospitality management, Matossian joined URW’s LAX team in 2022 to apply her expertise in enhancing passenger experience and boosting revenue.
Overseeing six terminals and more than 180,000 square feet of leasable space, she has made a significant impact, notably through the $40 million transformation of Terminal 3. This project introduced a blend of local and national brands, including five airport-firsts, creating a unique environment for travelers.
“Getting the opportunity to create engaging places that improve the traveling experiences, meet the evolving demands of today’s consumers and deliver one-of-a-kind concessions programs is the one of the most motivating aspects of my career,” Matossian said. “But the people behind these programs inspire me every day. Making sure our program reflects the rich diversity and culture of LAX is a major focus of my role, and I’m proud to support our ACDBE and local, small, and minority business partners.”
